Cordoba — Spain

Cordoba is the second largest and the third most populated municipality in Andalusia, and for all the right reasons! The city is world-famous for its Great Mosque and the historic old town, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Explore the courtyards full of flowers, the inviting squares, and lively taverns where you can enjoy the flamenco performance with your family or enjoy the local cuisine in a romantic setting with your partner.

The Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba: This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most breathtaking examples of Islamic and Christian architecture blending in a single monument. This is one of the most magnificent buildings in the world, rich in the preciousness of its materials, and extraordinary and unique for its daring construction.

Roman bridge of Córdoba: The bridge in itself stands as a testimony to the rich history of Cordoba, believed to have been built in the era of Augustus. It has 16 arches with semicylindrical buttresses, built in Flemish bond. At dusk, the bridge lights up, and the light reflecting on the stone makes it glow deep golden red.

Palacio de Viana: Gardens at Viana Palace is a beautiful Roman impluvium, fused with Arab culture and 12 picturesque plant-filled patios, which is a delight to visit in spring. You can walk around the lovely patios and gardens, discovering the romantic building packed with art and antiques.

Torre De Calahorra: The Calahorra tower is a fortified gate of Islamic origin standing at the end of the Roman Bridge in the historical centre of Córdoba. This is an ancient defensive fortress and currently hosts the Living Museum of al-Andalus which is the perfect place that celebrates the period when Jewish, Christian, and Muslim cultures lived in peace.

Córdoba Archaeological Museum: This archaeological museum has eight rooms and three courtyards displaying a wide range of exhibits from different periods and architectural styles. You can take your time and explore the museum, room by room, and courtyard by courtyard.
